Pokemon Go” players can get real-life value out of the popular augmented reality game at several Central Florida attractions this weekend.

SeaWorld Orlando is the first of Orlando’s major theme parks to officially organize and host a “Pokemon Go” event. The “Pokemon Go Lure Launch Event” is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with special early access to annual pass members from 8-9 a.m. Park admission is required and parking is not included.

SeaWorld promises that “dozens of lure modules will be activated throughout the park.” The virtual lures are suppose to attract Pokemon to your location, making them easier to catch. SeaWorld Orlando has even added some “Pokemon Go” tips and tricks, including pointing out that the theme park is equipped with charging stations and WiFi hotspots to make sure your phone battery doesn’t die during your hunt.

The I-Drive 360 complex is jumping on the “Pokemon Go” bandwagon, offering players 25 percent off admission to attractions through Sunday, including the Orlando Eye, Sea Life Aquarium and Madame Tussauds Orlando. Skeletons: Animals Unveiled is taking it a step further, offering free admission to the first 15 visitors who show the app and mention their Facebook promotion. After that, they will also give 25 percent off regular admission for showing the app and mentioning the Facebook post.

Pokemon Go at Central Florida Zoo

 

Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens in Sanford is offering $1 off admission after 1 p.m. for all “Pokemon Go” users through Aug. 10.

Bok Tower Gardens will host a Pokemon lure event Saturday, giving players $2 off gate admissionBok is also encouraging players to where their colors — representing their team in the game (Blue, Yellow or Red). Players are able to choose a color team after reaching level five in the game.

There are no official events yet at Disney or Universal Orlando, but there are several unofficial meet-ups being promoted on Facebook and Twitter, including meet-ups at Disney Springs.
